## About

1337 Sound (pronounced "Leet Sound") takes its name from "leet speak" — the hacker community term for someone who has truly mastered their craft. The name reflects the philosophy: deep technical knowledge, zero shortcuts, and a genuine understanding of why things work the way they do.

The business was founded by a musician and information security professional with 46+ years of guitar playing experience and 30+ years of front-of-house and studio sound engineering. Frustrated with the quality of mass-produced amplifiers and guitars, he began building custom tube amplifiers and working on guitars for himself, friends, and eventually clients.

- **Custom Tube Amplifiers** — Hand-wired point-to-point tube amplifiers built to exact player specifications. Cabinet style, speaker configuration, output tube complement, and cosmetic finish all chosen by the customer. Vintage circuits (Fender tweed, Marshall plexi, Vox AC-style) or original designs.
- **Tube Amplifier Repair** — Diagnosis and restoration of vintage and modern tube amplifiers. All makes and models. Full DC voltage and signal-path assessment before quoting.
- **Tube Amplifier Modifications** — Targeted modifications to existing amplifiers: bias adjustment, tone-stack changes, cathode-bypass capacitor mods, master volume additions, effects loop installation, negative-feedback reduction.
- **Custom Electric Guitars** — Assembled from hand-selected premium components to exact customer specifications: body wood, neck profile, fret wire, pickups, hardware.
- **Guitar Setup** — Professional setup including truss rod adjustment, action, intonation, nut lubrication, fret polish, fretboard conditioning, and restring.
- **Guitar Repair & Modifications** — Electronic refurbishment (pots, switches, jacks), structural repairs, fret leveling, bone nut fabrication, pickup swaps, wiring modifications.
